Benefits Of A Perfume Shower Gel
The benefits of using shower gel are many. A few of them are:
(1) It’s more commonly found in hotels and motels in countries outside of the United States. (This is probably to cut down on the work involved in cleaning shower stalls or bathtubs. Bar soap can contribute to hard-to-clean residue.)
(2) It doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue on the skin like bar soap can.
(3) It’s a bit more sanitary when shared by others in the shower. (Soaps can leave an awful mess over time, and contribute to scum conditions in the shower)
(4) It’s not as drying as some bar soaps are.
(5) It doesn’t dissolve over time when it’s not in use like bar soap can.
Because it’s a liquid form of soap, you may enjoy using it with a loofa rather than with a washcloth. Washcloths are generally used to grab material off of a bar of soap, but since perfume shower gel is already in a liquid form, there’s nothing to grab. So a loofa will work just fine and, in most cases, create a thicker (richer) lather. Since some shower gels are especially created to cover the entire body (whereas perfumes are not), you might even experience a silkier and smoother feel after using it.
Another benefit of shower gel is that it doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the skin like regular bar soap does. Perfume shower gel rinses rather cleanly. Those who may suffer from pimples may appreciate the way that shower gel rinses cleanly, unlike bar soap that may clog pores with wax residue. You just have to train yourself to use less than what you think you’ll need because of the size, a small accommodation that makes a perfect travel accessory or a wonderful gift.
If you’re ever concerned about how much perfume or cologne to apply, you just can’t go wrong with shower gel. Shower gels cover the entire body and rinse off immediately, so there’s never a need to worry about using too much perfume. You’ll always come out of the shower with a consistent amount of fragrance.
To find a perfume shower gel that’s right for you, you’ll just have to experiment with a couple of them (one per shower) until you find one that you like. Unlike perfumes, you may not be able to dab a little of it on your skin for a quick smell test, as most of them are packaged with other items as a set. But if you already have a perfume that you like, you can reasonably assume that its matching shower gel will smell the same as your perfume (on you).
